Fund Accounting Manager

This real estate investment firm is looking for an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to lead a team looking after a portfolio of funds and providing fund accounting services accordingly.

Applicants must have broad skills to include Financial & Corporate Accounting as well as Fund Accounting in a Real Estate context.

Key Aspects of the role include:

Manage and co-ordinate the work of the 2 Fund Accountants, developing them in line with key objectives
Represent the Accounting team to the local and global management (meetings, projects, etc.)
Ensure the provision of a full bookkeeping service through to the final Financial Statements, using appropriate systems and tools
External Accounting: Ensure that the accounting prepared by external service providers (e.g. Property/corporate manager), is proper and proficient. Integrate this information into the fund accounting
Tax Management: Provide support in ensuring tax liabilities/provisions are properly calculated and recorded in the accounts
Periodic Closings: Prepare closings for NAV/share price calculation when necessary, consolidations, Solvency II and preparation of financial statements/reports and other reports, as needed
Reinforce sound and effective risk management in line with the Risk and Compliance Objectives and Measures Framework
Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned from time to time
The ideal Candidate will be a fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent with extensive knowledge of Accounting Standards (Local GAAP and IFRS) and statutory frameworks within which the funds operate. The role manages two qualified Accountants so previous management experience is a pre-requisite.

This is a permanent role paying £60,000 - £64,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits and offers a fantastic career opportunity for someone from a Real Estate Investment background or a Large Accountancy firm where they have had Real estate Clients, to lead a Fund Accounting team and utilise their expertise £60000 - £64000/annum + benefits
