One of Bristol’s most established engineering consultancies is now looking to find the next member of their drawing team. They have a growing office, having successfully attracted design staff from some of the best local consultancies and are now starting to further develop the Structural team. We are looking for a junior Structural CAD Technician who has a relevant background of experience either in construction or the use of AutoCAD.
Full training in AutoCAD and Revit structure will be provided. Basic knowledge and enthusiasm are the key criteria.
This is a fantastic opportunity and would perfectly suit someone who has a degree of CAD experience behind them who is looking for a career in construction consultancy environment.
This person should be personable and approachable as they will be representing the company. This company covers several sectors including; tourism, multi-storey and bespoke residential, historical and commercial.
Recent projects have include:
- Multi storey residential buildings
- High profile refurbishment of historically sensitive local building
- Contemporary holiday properties across the South West
- Town houses converted from grade II listed buildings
Key responsibilities:
- Producing drawings and models for complex projects up to £20M in value
- Liaising with Senior Engineers and other design teams
- Dealing with client queries
- Working with architects and main contractors.
- Motivated to develop self
- Producing work consistent with existing reputation and portfolio
