What you ll be doing
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Press Office to join the friendly team, based at the London office in a full time, permanent position. The role requires you to assist in the development and implementation of the whole businesses Communications function to deliver

Key objectives for (Apply online only) Support the Region s Senior Leadership Team Contribute to the achievement of communications targets, as required
You will respond to media inquiries, in line with corporate policies, and assist with other types of complaint or inquiry, when required, and also prepare appropriate press statements, news releases and liaise with all media and Council press offices.

Contribution to the corporate magazines, newsletters, intranet and the conduction of internal PR to support staff engagement is also required. Another important aspect of the role is to represent the Region and Communications team at external events. You will manage relations with relevant stakeholders

You will also need to keep abreast of national, regional and local waste issues, strategies and campaign and be prepared to undertake other communications activities

About your Knowledge,

Skills & Qualifications
We require candidates to be educated to degree level or equivalent preferably in communications or related subject, together with relevant work experience as a press officer or in a communications role. Experience of working in the waste management or environmental industry is essential.
You must have an understanding of communications and marketing processes and an understanding of, and commitment to, Equality and Diversity policies in connection with employment and service provision. An understanding of the principles and practices of recycling, waste minimisation and waste management

Strong MS Office skills, high computer literacy and the ability to write standard and non-standard reports, are considered essential skill s for you to be successful in this role £25000 - £45000/annum
